Well basically I haven't found any solution to the problem. But I did get another card to see if my motherboard burned out, and that's not the case, since the other card works perfectly fine, and I tried inserting my problematic HD7870 into another computer, and got a similar result, so I'm leaning more and more towards a hardware failure.
